Jennifer Hofmann is a Synchronous Learning Expert, and the president of InSync Training, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in the design and delivery of synchronous eLearning. In the eLearning field since 1997, she has experience using all of the major web-based synchronous delivery platforms. Ms. Hofmann holds a Masters of Education from Nova Southeastern University, with a concentration in Instructional Technology and Distance Education.

For years, the synchronous training community has had an abundance of tools, but a dearth of best practices in facilitation and instructional design. Hofmann’s company has closed this gap with the Synchronous Learning Expert (SLE) curriculum, which includes 35 hours of web-based synchronous instruction, blended with intensive self-directed work and rigorous individual projects. The unique, experiential approach allows participants using any synchronous platform to develop their synchronous design and delivery skills. ASTD now partners with InSync Training to offer this curriculum to its members and customers in the form of its Facilitating Synchronous Learning Certificate Program and Designing Synchronous Learning Certificate Program.
